This west-facing block tends to bake in the afternoon heat. For this reason, we grow big vines with lots of leaves here, hoping to protect the fruit from that damaging heat. When we get it right, we get a wine with beautiful fresh acidity and a deep tropical fruit character produced by the heat on this site.
Ripe tropical fruit including guava and passionfruit, accented by dill and some gentle oak characters. A ripe, round palate with heaps of texture.
