2016 Block 2 Pinot Noir
NEW VINTAGE

The Site
Block 2 sits on the lower slopes of our CedarCreek Home Block vineyard on Lakeshore Road in Kelowna. The block’s clay soils originate from postglacial sediment of the immense Lake Penticton, the ice age predecessor to Okanagan Lake. Our 26-year-old vines thrive in this terroir.
The Vintage
In 2016, we were presented a long and cool vintage, great for developing flavours in a cool-climate variety like Pinot Noir. The later harvest and larger bunches and berries resulted in a wine that is lighter in colour and softer in tannin. This is an elegant, but intense, fresh, floral Pinot Noir. Naturally farmed, wild fermented, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
What We’d Pair it With
A gamey meat with a berry/fruit sauce. Fried rice with almost any meat (a soy or garlic-based dish, not spicy)
